All the world's a stage

As you shall prove us, praise us...

Upstart Crows of Santa Fe is a Shakespeare troupe for young people age 10-18 which produces workshops and uncut plays with a focus on understanding and collaboration.

We explore Shakespeare’s language and meaning with the help of experienced directors and professional actors, learn stage fighting from Fight Director Ambrose Ferber, and provide extensive outreach to schools, libraries, and community centers, sharing our passion for the plays.

There are no auditions and no prior theater experience is necessary - the only requirement is a desire to do the work. All who participate receive substantial roles. Each project has two to four casts so that actors can direct each other and take part in every aspect of process of creating the production.

The Crows perform two full plays a year and two scenes workshops with productions in the spring, summer and fall/early winter. Tuition is $275. We also produce Upstart Reader dramatic reading events and special workshops for all ages on Shakespeare's language with Dr. Robin P. Williams, Shakespeare scholar

Performances at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden, the Scottish Rite Temple, and El Museo Cultural.
